I guess the world is getting smaller and jobs are shipped all over the planet? What are the impacts in your opinion?

IMHO, the direction of multiple organizations is more focussed towards $$ and not quality. This can be visible in pretty much every aspect of our day to day involvement with products, not just networking, but overall in general. When the leadership considers a short term view on how they have to manage the company, this is expected. I do have heard various so called "leaders" talk about doing what we need to manage the next quarterly announcement.
Shipping over your jobs to India or Manila or any other country where the costs are limited is the direction that is taken, I personally feel, its a wrong approach that more and more companies are taking to save on costs.
With Juniper, the growth on the revenue hasn't been significant, but the size of the staff has grown pretty high over the decade+ and mostly overseas, kind of gives you an idea that quality has gone down and there is a larger team needed to manage operations.
I have had the experience of working under the leadership of Scott K and have seen the difference in every aspect of how the company was structured and operated vs Rami R, a big change in how things function today.
With HPE following a similar approach, I do not anticipate a change in this area, rather I would probably see more and more jobs being shipped out to India as the acquisition is completed.
