Toyota Financial Services will layoff 54 employees in Cedar Rapids at the end of next year.
The listing on Iowa WARN says the 54 employees will be laid off on December 31st, 2024. However, a corporate communications manager with Toyota Financial Services told TV9 this morning the layoff date is actually December 31, 2025 and that they are reaching out to have the WARN listing corrected.
The company representative also told TV9 that every Cedar Rapids-based employee who wishes to continue with the company was given a position in Arizona, Texas or Georgia.
The company announced in 2021 that it would be closing its Cedar Rapids office, impacting hundreds of jobs.
