Joe Heinrich's optimism is admirable, but the math is unforgiving. When intermodal freight, once the golden child, starts shrinking due to tariff costs, the siren song of 'efficiency' (read: layoffs) will become deafening to shareholder ears
Yes, tarrifs have started to affect volume and profit margin this 1st quarter report 2025. Just announced today. So expect cuts this year. Chinese cargo drop is the leading indicator that will affect peak season. I estimate cuts before this year ends.
