Not only do they do it over teams, but it is a robotic script read word for word. HR emails later with a canned email. If you have the nerve to ask a question, they will huffily refuse to answer and refer you to a mailbox or ticket system. 0 out of 10, do not recommend.

some WFMS just got let go, they where told 300 across the business as a whole are on the block this week.
The spreadsheet method was created at the end of Q2 and has members to be let go till Q4. January end of Q4 will be a massive amount of people beyond that point individuals have not been identified. These decisions are not by manager and are coming in from a level higher then director level
Goes to prove that wfr will happen every month / quarter. When things were stable, pre Covid era it was an annual occurrence, then it turned into half yearly routine, but for the last 2 years it’s been a monthly task. Typically the sales team is notified in the first week of the qtr, and all the support staff happens by week 5 and some exits are without any notice particularly the entry level pay grade employees..

you are so full of sh!t. A spreadsheet with everyone's name reaching out 2 years? As if your mysterious high contact knows who will still be here in 2 years. That is not how WFR is done. They tell a manager to cut 'X' amount of money from their budget, then the manager has to decide to who fire.

They will determine future layoffs based on kpi metrics and team members will be ranked. Those ranked lower will be let go. Also hearing there will be a change in severance offered in further round of layoffs.

so true, AI not making revenue, only servers with GPUs, they should just eliminate all of Gils group IMHO

As long as the Sr.Dir and PdM who didnt make any revenue for the company are rewarded to go join AI teams, the layoff of the lower levels will continue.

can confirm.. i sit right next to an l2 that got let go, he got the invite this morning from his manager and another person on the invite. took less than 20 minutes for them to go over the layoff and package..
incredibly cold to do it over a teams call..
