I keep seeing requests for a specific list of teams, this might be unknown since no one has directly responded, but is there a clear list besides "UO mens" which has been cited below but is quite generic

Don’t have to post a warn notice if you receive severance- look into it. Meetings not emails.
R they doing layoffs via email or is HR scheduling meetings individually for the 21st

No WARN notice needed if the company plans to offer severance. I’ve seen it happen here and other companies where massive layoffs have happened and no WARN notice submitted

who r the main teams affected? is this mostly dcs / stores or also corporate?
Right- if laid off, you’ll receive 2 weeks for every year you’ve worked at UO. Jan 20th holiday means when you show up Jan 21 you’ll be notified
So then home office employees are getting laid off Jan20th with severance. They’re using a holiday to turn everyone’s computer off??
I don’t think they’re required to submit a warn notice if they are planning to offer severance

Morning of January 20th- may be more than listed below as numbers are so bad. Still no leadership change though- just eliminating staff. Buckle up if you don’t get laid off going to be a rough year.

Management here- cuttings Mens design, reducing mens buying and cutting mid level (senior designers) from womenswear. Effective January.

Oh for sure in UO. HO is are overstaffed in general when you think of their sales are the lowest of all brands. Honestly Free People needs more employees across teams. Built as well. and then there’s UO who couldn’t sell a product even if it was free lol. I say don’t layoff, reallocate employees!!!!!
UO for sure. Nuuly, FP/Movement, Anthro I think even Terrain I would feel secure at. I will say, in the face of layoffs and a cr-p economy lifestyle retail has not largely been affected. Ppl are still buying clothes. UO can pivot. I would try and transfer to Nuuly or Anthro if I was currently at UO.
Teams that will be affect is def cross functional across whatever categories aren’t doing well. They’re gonna have to rebrand and rescale stay profitable. Would think marketing and merch bc rebrand efforts.
