Where can we get list of employees affected by the laid off?
How long have you known about the laid off?
Are Associate SW engineers and Intermediate/Principal SW Engineers affected? I know that Tech Leads and Solutionos Engineers & Architects are affected.
I agree witht the poster below, we should eliminate contractors first but sometimes that's easier said than done.
Good luck all, we'll have a very bumpy 2025.
Why not cut contractors first?
1,750 higher level jobs GONE in Southwest's first ever layoff! That is a lot of people. If you're in the group, time to get out of the airline industry. It's only going to get worse.

the word is out
3 more agonizing hours…
Bob must be close to 65? Hard to find his DOB online. And the 2k employee number - what resources? Tech teams are 50-60 hrs per week trying to set up seats and UX for the new airline partnerships. There is not much room to lose people! Or is this headcount for scaling routes?

It’s happening on Feb 18. Ofc right after Valentine’s Day party just like rto right after the Halloween party.
It's already happening you only need to look around
