Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

How can Intel get employees engaged and believing?

I left Intel in October and went to lunch with a bunch of employees that stayed behind. I was astonished that all of there motivation and drive has deteriorated much more. The vitriol they spewed on how Pat, Dave and Christy have deceived and lead the company into this abyss was in full display. They said teams are not working, there is no innovation and they are all just waiting for the next show to drop. They said they expect another 15 k reduction in 2025. How does Pat stop this employee death spiral?? Could this company really fail soon? Thoughts?

Exercise the "Termination for Cause" to rid the Company from the Scrouge H1TL3R in SMG.

If there were no "Termination for Cause", then exercise the ""Termination for Convenience".

Our Legal shld be fired if none of these 2 clauses were in the Job Offer when we saved him from the Sinking HPI ship.

Who approved this bad hire anyway? Was his GodPapa the 1D10T Dion W, former HPI, on the BOD?

They even allowed him to bring his HPI garbage into Intel

Make Intel a meritocracy again.

A major win would re-ignite enthusiasm and belief in the company and attract talent again. That win could be a new disruptive technology, process, or something that the world has never seen before.

Unfortunately, a major win should have happened years ago and before all of the major talent left the company.

If you swing for the fence, strike out and lose the World Series you fire the manager, rebuild the team with a more feasible strategy, cut all the fat out of the organization and rebuild with the next batch of hungry/talented players.

You don't. The damage is done. Intel's KoolAid was once so effective that employees were willing to work at slightly under market wages. That has changed. Just like every large corporation Intel's true colors have finally shown and the indoctrination is no longer affective. If you hope to go back to the days were employees were "Engaged" and "Believing" you're sh-t out of luck.

And as for customers? "Once a Reputation Is Lost, Can It Ever Be Reclaimed"

Hopefully the write down of 10nm tools will be last round of blame the previous leaders

Now step up and deliver your own plans

And that needs to extend from the top down to me myself and I

We are responsible for
Our daily work
Our daily decisions
Our daily passions
Our daily collaborations
Our daily deliveries
Our daily

Significant changes at leadership is required to restore trust. Currently, trust in Intel leaders is like broken vase glued together and cannot be as it was long time ago when the company was functioning properly.

The leadership is not there and the trend will continue.

Why are you concerned if you left in October? Every team is working and those who aren't should be and will be shown the door. No free loaders needed

Leadership, that’s it.

There is nothing that says Intel will be ok. Period.

Revenue - down
Product - it’s ok, but still not the crown.
DC - AMD owned
Fabs - 5n4y is now 4n4y - question is if the skip on 20A is because 18A is in good condition or 20A was not good enough to show to people.
Management - I am doing 80% of tasks in my team. I have tickets for that and charts. I brought it to my manager “will work on that”. And here we are in Q4, I still do my job. People that should deliver don’t. Was a great chance to lay them off - did not happen. I would really appreciate that we keep our promises.
Stock, QPB, APB - does not exist.

I really believed in turn around 2Q ago. Still love my work, but next layoff is not a question “if” but when. I just hope that I can get package in next VSP, if not - well I will survive.

Until ELT is willing to admit there's a problem, don't expect the death spiral to change. It's going to take a lot to turn things around, and I don't think our leadership has it in them to do it. I'd love to be proven wrong, though.
