Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

TDC Stock Lower Than 10 Years Ago

Now under $30. Wow, how can any company that is a self-described “analytics leader” perform so poorly in a hot growth market? Bain and McKinsey should give us a refund. Executive bonuses should be revenue based. All they do is RIF people to reduce expenses and hit their OI target. Such a sad ending…

So glad I sold it all in the fifties! What a great trade.

Yeah, I'll bet the remaining ~450 customers would be worth a lot to a CSP. (Check your support logs, that's all that's left of the 2,000+ customers Teradata used to have.) The CSPs are already in these accounts. Teradata is now a vintage Pinto...

Acquisition target 🤣😂🤣😂

Who would buy this mess? Where is the potential value?

Less than 10 years ago is a serious understatement. In early 2013 the price was in the low 80’s

less than $20 would make TDC a potential acquisition by some major CSP owner - they could acquire us just for the customer base, migrate them off into their own db version and shutdown once & for all after the last customer moves off the platform

AWS is big on certifications. Project Managers, get PMP Certified. Will make the job search easier.

It’s easy for me to say because escaped when the new ELT and SM came all the DEI stuff started. But for your mental heath, just quit and focus on finding your next job. It’s like staying an abusive relationship. Spend time getting certified on AWS, Azure, or GCP. And while there refuse to take the ridiculous social experiment training.

Finished one of the best market weeks still under 30. 29.89 now. The executive “leadership” team should be summarily sacked.

It’s the price you literally pay for staying.

It hurts when you work hard, perform well, receive great remarks from team and manager(s), you’re rewarded with thousands of dollars worth of RSUs and then half of the value is gone before the first portion even vests…. It’s demoralizing

It’s unfair that TD has to report quarterly results. If they were not forced to do it, the stock would be $100 by now.

Adjusted for inflation that 30 dollars in 2014 would be equal to $39 today.
If you do a reverse comparison, 30 dollars today is equal to $22.65 in 2014.

More rough times ahead. No new logos, loss of customers, solutions to problems that don’t exist.

Sad day.

I forgot to sell my RSUs once it vested only to lose so much value.

It'll be into the teens very soon. $12 is probably going to be where it will hit and stay for a long time. The private equity sharks want it to drop as far as possible
