Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Tell Dell, again?

Has anybody received a mail saying "HI x-x, you've been selected to complete Tell Dell survey"?
What is that supposed to mean as there was one already a shortwhile ago..

Everyone collectively should stop doing Tell Dell. They fake the feedback but they can't fake participation. They don't listen to anything you have to say, why play along and let them tick the box!

They directly lied to us about our feedback and lied to us about remote work being tue way of the future for our company to sell computers. Theu lied to sell computers... and made you profits during a global pandemic. That's so sl--eball of them. So cringe... so scammy. They don't play nice to win so why would anyone bother giving them feedback they will ignore and lie about?

It’s the same mid-year pulse survey that goes out every year to 40% of team members

Got it too, and nope to one poster here, they didn’t just send it to happy bunnies only. I was extremely direct and negative with my TD feedback in May (but nothing against my manager who is great).

You don’t know if anyone is going to read the input other than the scores but I provided my thoughts on RTO (it suited Dell to keep everyone working in Covid, and helped the company to YoY revenue highs, people joined BECAUSE we had Remote, people had children and could manage their lives better because of remote, people who were renting in cities were able to buy properties in the suburbs because of remote) to the impacts on a rapidly disintegrating culture and motivation. And then, to hear MDell casually suggest remote was an error at a recent town hall, was just sickening. That guy made billions out of our ability to be flexible and work around our lives to get what was needed done.

In every experience I’ve had with Dell colleagues globally there WAS a quid pro quo. People made up the hours impacted in any way by working from home, I don’t know many TM’s who took coffee breaks in the mornings or afternoons although I hope some people did!).

I don’t suspect my response will amount to a hill o’ beans but I felt better for trying.

I received it in May and again this week. Assuming you like your manager, the section about them is the most important. That section can significantly impact them; you can let go of the rest.

I got it last year when my input was more favorable, I definitely did not get the follow up this go around 😂

I bet they send to happy people to change the results? They won't send that to me cause I have 1s on everything last time.
