Also did layoffs in January 2022 - as soon as those people completed the virtual sales kickoff. Now, that’s planning
Who stated this back in August?
Is Jan an assumption based on history or actual rumors this year?
Early Jan. They did it in 2023. Straight after some got back from vacation.
Next round is in Q1 as stated back in August.
I was laid off 6 years ago, got a good (negotiated) exit. Am surprised that this company is still in the same zone, employees tormented by uncertainty and listening to the earnings call just now, the current CEO still trying to dupe investors and analysts in his responses! Just amazing how Teradata has survived this long!
The layoffs must continue until head count is low enough for PE to finally get serious about a buyout. My guess is another 1000 to 1500 will need to be cut...but that costs money so it may take a couple more years of revenue to achieve.
They are ongoing. Never stop.
If I were to guess, they'll be in October again after another disappointing 1st half of 2025. Plus, they've been in October for 2023 and 2024.
Let’s wait for the earnings call today at 1:30 pt 😉 - I guess that Cx will be streamlined even more
