Thoughts? Any MasterCard layoffs? Any chatter, news or rumors?

MA is not laying off people but seems like they are quietly firing people without giving severance package. I had a couple of ex colleagues in Australia, Singapore, China, India etc got asked to leave based on their performance. Some of them were put on PIP and some just asked to go without compensation. This happened only a few weeks ago (October 2025).
Well, guess 1000 announced roles cut in mastercard last year just a decoy for compensation, there are more people to be fired and are not being announced so they don’t get the compensation.
The layoff continues at least until April 2025 but they do it quietly. I was laid off in January 2025.
Projects from USA and other European locations like UK and Ireland are offshored to India and ppl are laid off quietly.
master card firing people unnoiticed
This company has constant quiet layoffs. Just poor management in terms of what they want to do specifically in the services business. Their strategy is not coherent and it’s all over the place.
Ppl will voluntarily leave. Natural attrition will take care of over 2/3rd of reduction needs. Rest are minuscule cuts here and there!
No need for layoffs!
Here come the robots. After that town hall from Frankfurt it’s clear they are planning an AI takeover no wonder everyone has copilot. Teaching the robots how to do Mastercard jobs. Clear cost cutting all around with CWT getting dropped for a china travel agency and our corporate cards turning into debit cards. Let’s just hope they don’t drag this out all year. Master card way!?!?
Apparently Miebach was not happy with the results from the cuts or lack there of in Q3. Challenged teams to cut more in January. Per usual rumor was mid Jan and we are running a bit late. Appears cuts are happening this week and next. Global cuts still on the way. I mean between this and the recent cafe price increases and vending machines disappearing what else will 2025 bring.
Heard it from VP level. They're eliminating a lot of FTE's for Indian contractors. Most of your Business field ppl are going to be phased out for tech managers (in india) and they will have one US Product Business level Director person to maintain that MC is still an American company. So if you're on the business side and under a director level you should find a new job, 2025 is not going to be your year.
I heard as well after the great layoff of 2024 (one not publicized in March, then one publicized in Q3) that they were planning on doing more Q4 but are moving that to Q1 of next year
I have heard rumors that another round is coming by Feb/Mar.
Does this company even plan so early? I highly doubt it.
