They laid off several contract recruiters today, under the guise of a hiring pause for the holidays. It’s just a matter of time until full time employees hit the pavement too.

That guy is such a geaky, self-serving devil. Why they would promote an alien resident in a US location makes no sense and especially if you actually know the backstory. The intel guy found a real figurehead and then left him behind and he isn't the only one. Everyone has compassions fatigue for his never-ending extenuating circumstances. Either you do the job or you don't, but you can't fake it until you make it.
Slim shady continues to make it through layoff after layoff despite being shady and MIA. Maybe the shady and lazy survive and that is why the company is malignant?
May be 2025 or 2026 or 2027..... It is coming and odds are it will impact you when you start to cost too much, get too old, or you pi-s off someone in power.
The narcissist likes to play the victim although they are the abuser. It's hard to hide when you've been unmasked at work and in the community, not to mention when you've been lazy and riding the coattails of the one who has left the building. The badging speaks more than him. Coasting is getting harder with the market contraction.
Even a broken clock is right twice a day. If you're gonna work in semiconductors then you better expect a rollercoaster of expansion and contraction. Perhaps the pace of fast food is better suited for some of you. Don't play the victim, you gotta roll with the changes.

Some uniformity in expectations, pay, and promotions would go a long way. It’s a soul su-k to work for someone with a gaggle of kids who keeps afloat and acts like a dictator when they themselves are missing in action much of the time.
