Thread regarding Chesapeake Energy Corp. layoffs

Sunk Ship

So now that I left this sinking ship years ago, are there any employees there that DID NOT go to OU or OSU? My guess the group thinking mentality is still alive and well.

Any reports on any new exploration finds? Successful oil and gas companies grow by successful exploration, not borrowing money to buy assets someone else discovered.

Good luck CHK'ers - you will need it. CHK on the resume does not look so good.

There were contractors in the field that didn’t make it home but many of those managers in OKC (DL and TB) remain in place today The management in the field (DT and KM) not only kept their jobs but got big packages once field was sold.

Congratulations on leaving this dump!! This place is sooo f***ed!!! Anybody wanna place bets on how many people die in the field due to the incompetence and failure of leadership at HQ??

Texas Tech and OSU dominates with degrees that aren't even remotely related to petroleum engineering.

Exploration? That's a $5 word for all the phonies in geosciences.

This is all about the deal, and how to scalp 10% to uneducated "investors".
