The Peter Principle says that people get promoted to one level past their competency and that actually hurts them in the long run.

In my experience the DEI Principle is that those hired based on DEI tend to be over their heads by two levels. It puts severe mental stress on the person and/or their performance compared to peers is lower.

Two wrongs don't make a right.

Altera acquired for cloud and networking growth. Look at where networking is today. Even when FPGA revenues were at peak, networking and cloud was not meeting even expected revenue. NBD and cloud are really touble maker in revenue.
