Networking is crucial. Some people only have contacts within 3M -- you need contacts with people at other companies, too.

All the "just quit" people need to stop slobbing the knob and take a long, hard look at what 3M has become.
The mindless belief that everything is great and the people who don't like it are wrong, that's baffling to me.
Can you honestly say that things are better now than they were five years ago? Or that you didn't care at all about the things (and people) that we've lost?
Because if you really think nobody has a reason to be unhappy with the direction 3M is going, please leave. Just quit. We don't need useless milquetoast filling seats that should be going to someone who can actually do more than just fog a mirror.

Your politician lost? Move to another country

Most people don't have the option to "just quit" because they need to eat.
