Intel should have been booted from the DJIA 20 years ago. Will never come back on, just like Kodak and all the other failures. Pat better pray that Trump and Elon don't get in control and dump the chips act, after he just invested $300M in China.
This will be a big deal. Intel will never get it back. It is just one more in a long line of failures. There will be more failures to come.
@ibv... you need to revise your statement to: Intel -was- the name in semiconductors. Pull your head out of the sand and look around. Intel is not the leader and hasn't been for a long time. It is not on a path to regain anything. Customer are starting to avoid Intel products with cost being a big driver but stability/quality are also issues. If you really believe that the competition is lucky or a flash in the pan you need to re-evaluate your position.
@rxp.. when people have been gone for over 5 years you need to let it go. They aren't the cause of the issues any longer. The successors should have resolved those issues by now.

Also, you FREAKIN' (ELT) ID--TS! I brought up many issues issues and ideas to resolve them with management during my tenure there only to receive the SAME canned RESPONSES from every single MANAGER I talked to. Nobody cared!
