Intel is still bloated compared to competition on all angles. This isn't complicated... They are using McKinsey who has a reputation for doing just this: "McKinsey promotes downsizing and the elimination of middle management roles, concentrating power and wealth among top executives". In terms of helping intel to modernize, I doubt it. I pin my hopes on outside executives from Micron, and good luck to him...
YES I fully believe 15% was the start. more cuts are on the way, the beatings will continue till moral improve. I do think restructuring is a given and keeping the business functional alone will force Intel to finally make changes it's competitors made 10 to 15 years ago. It isn't going to be pretty but it will make for a stronger Intel if it can survive.

Nope, refusing to answer is not a lie. But he know. Just like they all know now whether or not there'll be additional CPM.
@cfb-"early in the summer". He didn't lie, we had CPM/ISP this fall. But will there be more? He needs to be asked again since he's the only who didn't answer, which gave the answer. PG and others will give some long winded, crazed, bs response that will be so off the wall people will tune out before he's done.
Early in the summer, Choon was asked if there was going to be layoffs. He gave the typical non-answer but the asker wasn't satisfied so he asked again. Choon still would not answer.
FYI: A non-answer is usually an answer.

- trying to make money by trading on internal confidential communications
- People that need to move through a processs emotionally mentally and are venting
