Thread regarding Juniper Networks Inc. layoffs

SKO

Interesting that myself and all my colleagues were invited to HPE SKO when many here have been claiming imminent layoffs are on the horizon. Not saying there won't be any, but I don't believe they'd plan this event if there were wide scale layoffs they were planning and trying to keep quiet.

The last post captures it.

It will be an overlay for the key products. HPE wants to challegen Cisco and for that they need expertise with critical Service and Cloud Provider networking. Nothing nw under the sun there, a proven method that's happened before.

There will be nevitable politics and grabs for power at the VP and above level. Some already now they're on their way out or know they're so well compensated to leave that they shall not fight it at all and will stay on doing little for a year or so. Not unusual stuff.

for those who have never worked in a productive position in high tech... sales teams (especially in acquisition scenarios) work as overlays... often forever, sometimes just for a transition time.

the SKO will serve the purpose of introducing overlay models for optimal knowhow sharing.

whoever thinks HPE will DOA a 14 bill acquisition is a friggin id--t.

HPE took Juniper's reservations for SKO. Don't count this as "we're safe". Because we're not safe. Interviews forthcoming with offer letters to follow.

This SKO is being planned as ALL sales. JNPR and HPE. Interesting to see how the new team plays in the same room when they were just competitors. Even more Interesting what management does if the deal isn't inked.

That is a good sign. People here are all doom and gloom, and those confident "leakers" are playing Q-anon. Now I know how cults start. Lesson learned.

It's not HPE's SKO. They're using the already paid for Juniper one.

Yes but why even schedule it? I don’t believe HPE has done an SKO since pre Covid.

When is SKO? Would give us a real range for this anyway.
