"with no real energy resources" .. Germany decommissioned all of their nuclear power plants, because .. uh .. well .. uhhh .. ???
Intel scr-wed Germany with the hype about building factories and then backed out. They aren't going to buy anything from Intel. The German economy is contracting so they needed the jobs. VW is cutting headcount and closing 3 factories. It is an industrial based country with no real energy resources they need tech.

The Meteor Lake/Ireland boondoggle is how Gelsinger & Zinsner lost $12 BILLION and is why almost 18,000 employees had shitcanned! To pay for their fu--ing stupidity!
The goal isn’t to sell TSMC sourced processors. The goal is to win benchmarks and reviews and then sell Ireland F34 sourced (well partially….) Meteor Lake. As long as we keep selling MTL all is well. And as a bonus they’ll age out to too slow quicker!
