Look at page 7 of the earnings pdf from intc.com. It shows the following employee numbers for Intel: 115K as of 9/28/24 and 116.5 as of 6/29/24. That is only a reduction of 1500.
WTF, is this is an error what else is wrong in the report.

Ireland VSP/ERP last day in office was 11th October. Small number of isp for 15th Nov. These numbers and severance will be in the Q4 results
Now I'm hearing the total layoffs will be 16500 and saving $18 billion by Q4. Sounds like at least one more round of layoffs this year for sure.
Commenters make a fair point. 9/28 is end of financial quarter, 09/30 was the VSP date and you’ll see that impact in the Q4 update.
Lots still working notice a d on the books , a fairly large chunk I believe left today, another batch by Nov 30 and more by dec 31 … action taken takes a while to finalise
1st round of reduction is after September 30. Second round of reduction is after November 15
