There is a thread on Wells Fargo layoff board where person is stating they got an offer from Truist and asking if they should accept the offer. Hilarious that everyone is saying do not join Truist that the working culture is worse than Wells Fargo. Now that’s saying something!

Yeas but Wells pais a he-l of a lot better- if you have to put up with a crummy culture, might as well make some dough.
Former WF employee. Truist pays better for CSBB roles. When you add sick time plus PTO it’s about the same. Both struggle with staffing. WF doesn’t know what work life balance is and doesn’t care if you miss things for your family. Truist is more willing to let you come in late/leave early/ take extended lunch to attend children’s functions. WF constantly reminds employees that they are replaceable. WF is much better organized and clear with their strategic moves and goals. Back office support much better at WF. Employee satisfaction better at Truist though.
Ironically, Wells is doing very well financially ever since they started dumping folks to TFC
"My manager here is great, at wells my manager was my biggest frustration."
Don't get too comfy with this . . . Truist does so many frequent re-orgs that you aren't likely to keep your current manager for very long. And given the number of incompetent managers at Truist, your next manager will very likely "draw into the mouth by contracting the muscles of the lip and mouth to make a partial vacuum."
@avr+1vgX0Qjn - Yeah, anyone who ever worked with EJ realizes that this is pretty common at Truist too....at least WF removed the body in a timely manner when discovered it wasn't working.
Oh yeah WF is hiring I would work there it’s much better
As someone who came from Wells Fargo, Truist is Wells Fargo’s little brother. It is really about what you value as a win. My commute is 10 minutes. After office move at Wells Fargo it was an hour and 10. My manager here is great, at wells my manager was my biggest frustration. Changes are in overdrive both places. Both are pushing location strategy’s. Wells Fargo’s offices are nicer and break rooms stocked with hot chocolate, too many types of teas and coffees and all the paper ware and plastic ware. Truist you get sick time. There are problems everywhere.
It says everything that they'd rather stay at WF after they literally let somebody die and rot at the office for days.
Truist is WF lite
It's all accurate, but I'd definitely still work at Truist before WF, but the specific division and group you're in makes a big difference.
Bill gonna try and sell Truist to Wells Fargo. Why Mark Chancy went to the board there. Crooks!
From the Wells Fargo layoff thread regarding Truist -
“ Pay 20% less, limited PTO and they only match 4% in the 401k. Oh, and in the office 4 days a week heading to 5. No thank you. “
