Thread regarding NetApp layoffs

I don't know why I even bother

I'm over NetApp. It's draining to keep pushing myself when it feels like my manager's never satisfied, no matter how good my work is. And it's good—other people see it and comment on it all the time. But when you're not in the "favorites club," it seems impossible to break through. At this point, I'm wondering why am I even trying so hard anymore?

Are you referring to NetApp Ops in Santana Row? Is it that toxic?

I was in a similar position, getting the call Monday morning was a relief as it meant that the decision had been made and I can now process it, focus on myself for a bit and figure out where I want to be. If you are five+ years in and/or near the top of your pay scale, my only advice is start looking now. This is not the company I joined in any way other than the name.
