Thread regarding CVS layoffs

We don’t matter at all

It's hard to believe how little the leadership cares about the stress layoffs are causing us. Morale has been on a downward spiral for ages, and they just ignore it. Everyone knows happy employees are more productive, but they keep completely overlooking our well-being. It feels like we don’t matter at all.

I’ll be “member obsessed” when management becomes “employee obsessed”. I won’t hold my breath though.

You don't matter. It's called "at will" because you don't matter. You have never mattered. Why is it taking you so long to figure this out.

how would you know care so little ? Also who cares if they care, it’s a company and you’re just an employee as are they. No one is ever safe in any job, ask Karen lynch.

There's no point in caring about something you have no control over. 90% of "leadership", i.e. your direct management up through maybe your SVP has no say in layoffs, RTO, or anything else employees don't like.

No corporation cares about the rank and file.. quit whining and know your place.. if you aren't working toward getting rich in the US, then you are a fool to believe you even have a chance... trade your time for as much money as you can get and always keep looking for something better.. complacency will be your undoing.. loyalty is a one way street. Don't be a chump..

Anyone who wants to leave is looking and I expect a mass exodus around mid April, post bonus and equity vest.

It's because you have people leaders who see their teams as threats. I know one person who was so psychologically abused by their boss, that they dead ended their career. Their boss spread rumors about staff. They complain about staff to each other. Then give opportunities to their literal family members. Isolating and flat out lying to their staff. One people leader will say something as fact. Talk to another one about the same issue and the second person is wondering where that came from. Complete gaslighting. Until this changes, morale will sag. No one moves on from their roles. People are given different performance measure depending on whether they want to keep you.
