I’ve been at Citrix for about eight months (and I like it here), and I keep hearing people talk about layoffs all the time, but I'm yet to see something major take place. Did I get lucky? Is this place really known for frequent cuts that I’ve somehow managed to dodge?

The only certainty regarding this company is that there will be more layoffs.
There are still areas to cut even with the cuts over the last 2 years. If a majority of the people you work with are not with Infosys then you are not safe.
The only way CSG makes any money is by cutting costs and selling its BUs off. Well ShareFile was the only one left worth anything that another company will buy. So the only other thing to do is cut.
The major stuff has already happened. The layoffs that happen now are basically cutting off loose threads & those who’ve been stack ranked poorly. The company is being progressively skinned of talent in pursuit of max investor returns.
Keep your LinkedIn profile updated, grow your network & keep your eyes peeled for opportunities. Better to leave under your own steam than be managed out.
Big ship takes a while to turn around.
In January of 2022 they laid of 12% of the company. In January 2023 they laid off 15%. Google it yourself. So, stick around awhile and you’ll see the next purge…unless of course you’re also purged
You haven't been here long enough for the annual purge. It's coming anytime between Nov-Jan. You'll see how it works.
