Thread regarding CVS layoffs

This whole industry is a sinking ship

Take a look at Humana, Elevance and the others. This industry is hurting and it is a good time to get out and find a new industry

I think this outlook is a bit bleak. Success in Insurance is always cyclical. Profits rise profits fall each quarter. This is a very vulnerable industry (that I’ve been in for nearly 20 years) because what we do is directly and indirectly impacted the economy. Esp health insurance - the pandemic did a doozy on carriers and hospital systems are still picking up the pieces years later. The kicker is most companies eventually rebound and CVS still struggles due to too many hasty financial moves.
I recently left Aetna to work for another carrier and it’s night and day, more stable and less unorganized. 3rd quater earnings were low like everywhere se but no jobs need to be eliminatedto bounce back. I also have peers at UHC, Cigna, Kaiser, and ppl have stressful books but they’re still content. Leave if your job no longer suits you.

The Affordable Care Act, Medicare Funding, Medicaid Funding is done 1/20/2025. The GOP is done with all those Programs and Group Medical Health Will not be Offered under new GOP Mandate. Health Insurance is dead. OBM is dead too no longer needed all dr-gs are going to a Stock Market. With Prices about to go through the Roof on everything It looks like Pay For Service Urgent Care is CVS and everyone else's only Option left. As far as new sector Industry? No industry is going to be viable to stay on in the USA gonna be a lot of Unemployed people with not many options. Plus by this Time Next week your 401(k) is going to be worthless. If you ain't rich you should have prepared.
