I stopped caring if I will be laid off. Months on end of the daily dose of anxiety on top of regular work-related stress just pushed me into complete indifference. I just come in now, do bare minimum, get my paycheck, and in the meantime make sure I don’t stay at work a second longer than regular hours. Who would care these days and in this context, honestly?

"cellular phones in their faces"
No need to say cellular phone, boomer. It' just phones.
We see people watching movies with their feet on their desks and cellular phones in their faces, and managers walk by them. Is insulting I am on the same team with these people.
I suspect, and I see in how some of my colleagues perform their roles now, this is a common sentiment.

Eventually this can morph into acceptance and being content and motivated without caring or anxiety. Keyword can. Or it can steer into further unhappiness and lack of engagement and resistance. Best to let go of all resistance.
Good call. Kudos
This is the way. No point in stressing but I'm also applying to other jobs like crazy trying to leave this sinking ship. I won't want to sell dell if I land a partner spot in the future.
