I left Otis a few years ago but I hold no ill will towards the company. It was a good job and all the people I worked with were amazing. When I heard about cuts, it broke my heart for all of them. I truly hope all of those who are affected by layoffs land on their feet and have a new job much sooner than they expect.

A lot of virtue signaling on social media about being a "top employer", but what a heartless move to lay off people a few days before a major US election and just ahead of the holiday season.

23 years of loyalty and dedication to be cut off at the knees! Yet they say Otis is the best company to work for and hire all these fresh college graduates. They cut hundreds and hundreds of years of knowledge and talent. Executives should enjoy their bonuses this year while people with families eat ramen noodles for the holidays and give out hugs for Christmas. Absolutely disgusting!
I just left Otis (on my own accord) about 5 weeks ago. Poor decision making from upper management has been trickling into the local branches, causing unrest. Folks are unhappy.
A series of bad decisions by upper level executives lead to many people without jobs. I’m sure they’ll enjoy their bonus’ this year and continue to feed the BS to their minions that the company is doing well.
