Thread regarding 2U Inc. layoffs

Any tips on staying on the new SE Vp’s good side?

We all know the new VP is out to slash jobs to meet the 25% workforce reduction they were tasked with by the end of the year… I am not part of their “click” so I know my time is coming. We know they are going to keep their friends on and most likely promote them over the others who actually work. I am looking for any advice on staying out of the chopping block as much as possible.

Don’t worry about su-king up, especially if you already know your number is up. Focus on yourself, use your critical thinking skills when they’re giving you negative feedback that makes no sense, is vague, or has no support, don’t internalize the gaslighting. Keep your dignity and look for other jobs while you wait. Mentally prepare yourself to leave that culture and place behind.

Don’t work too hard, this place is so unserious.

I’m sorry but why do you care? Just do your job and keep it moving, 2U doesn’t care about you and it’s not personal even if you think it is. Go for a walk and just breathe.

There isn't 25% of the workforce to cut outside of whatever remains of boot camps. I doubt that is the number they are targeting.

At the end of the day, someone has to do the work.
