Thread regarding Walgreens layoffs

We are in the free fall

Polish your resumes, and start looking for another job if you haven’t already. Not necessarily because you will be targeted for layoffs or quit on your own under the attrition tactics (no good reviews for you even if you work your a-s off and have best results ever), but for one simple reason: Walgreens has no future. You maybe don’t need another job (for now), but you sure as he-l want another one.

@1viv+1veRzKix While you make a good point with there being better places to work, not all roles have equivalents at other companies which can make job searching harder for some individuals. And I know this is hard to believe, but there are also some roles in the company in which Walgreens has some of the better salaries and benefits for in this area which is enough for some people to stay through this disaster. And before you say, "then they should find a job elsewhere," not everyone has the privilege to just up and move like that.

Hardly anyone will look elsewhere. Employees at this company complain nonstop yet will never leave. Tough way to live a life like that I would think. There are so many better places to work at and work for. But for some reason most stay at walgreens until they get rid of you. If walgreens is the best you can get, how sad is that.
