Thread regarding Northrop Grumman Corp. layoffs

THIS is a great company to work for.

So I've worked here for 6 years. One layoff that I can recall. Sure every company has to reduce the workforce if a contract isn't there anymore, it does happen. But otherwise, I feel as if this company cares for its employees. The managers that I know, work hard to make sure that happens. Nobody is giving just 10%, everyone I know gives it all. They care. They want a good product, no matter if its defense or for COTS. Just saying, for those who can't stand the job they are in, see if NG has an opening for you.

I come here and read these just to remind me how lucky I am, and feel bad for those caught up in the cycle of RIF's. I've been let go before. It su-ks. Mentally and emotionally. But everytime something better has come along.

I used to work for Northrop Grumman last year. Everything was going great, and the company was great, until they moved this Jack A-s Oliver Lucier into the Quality Managment position. I was the most experienced Mechanical Inspector with 37 years experienced. I was the only 1 laid off, while others that don't know 1/2 of what I do remain. I was responsible for 2 machine shops and the Silicon Carbide division. That Jack A-s totally ruined me and my family's life.
