Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

How is boeing going to back date or retro pay pension

Are you guys dummm. They already paid into your 401k during that time it was gone. Are you going to pay them back the money they gave you and the gains from the market?

The new money raised is to stay afloat. There is a lot of company debt. And theyre not making enough money to pay it back

Its like how u have credit card debt. But you loss a big chunk of your paycheck. So you take out more loans to pay your debt back until u can get your cash flow back up.

If boeings credit rating goes down like your credit score, the interest rates will go up and theyll pay more

Its not for your pension dum dum dont let the old timers fool you into delusion pension. They just want to get the pension and retire. They dont care if boeing goes belly up.

But if they do get their pension, then boeing better file chapter 11 so maybe they aint gotta be liable for their full pension during the debt restructure. Lose lose everyone

Fight for the pension when the companys books are good. We are pretty much all in the same sink ship. Some just got a better view.

Be sensible

We had 401k already when they rigged the vote that took it away. Boeing already proved they can make movement on the pension since they increased it by 7 dollars in the last offer. Raise it by 50 and keep it closed or add the 9 years of service they took and keep it closed. As long as they fill the hole it might pass.

We are going to get what we deserve. Thats the key phrase, but it doesnt mean what you think it does...

Ortberg will save Boeing just like he did Rockwell Collins, merged it with UTC and sold to Raytheon, problem solved.
Keep in mind during mergers and sales of companies unions aren't required as part of the sale.

These bozos wanting the pension can't seem to realize 2 things: A) Boeing will can most of their rumps right when they're about to be vested (5 years) so they're never eligible for it. B) By sacrificing a little and putting much paycheck money into the 401Ks will result over the years making much, much more than a pension ever could with all those years of service.

Has boeing ever been at this financial state before? 60 billion in debt. Negative free cash flow, operating earnings, Selling off assets and shutting down programs. Theres only going to be 777 and 737 in the pnw.

So you do acknowledge that the company is ruined. Is the pension going to be the straw that breaks the camels back? Boeing has one of the top 401k match in the usa.

Show me their books from the previous strike and show me how weak they were compared to now. Its public information

The company books are never good when it comes contract time. So are you telling us give up because Bowings p_ss poor management ruined our company and so forever we must sacrifice for the bonuses and parachutes. This turnip has bled enough for this company. It's our turn now!
