Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Is a Private Equity buyout of Dell Technologies in the Works?

That's the only possibility in terms of another corporation or entity buying the company that makes sense to me. I figure it would be a leveraged buyout, but already has so much debt outstanding.

BlackRock is obviously a likely candidate. But I think it's more likely a new consortium of players that will buyout the company.

Well if I am saying printers will spin to Xerox then use your deductive reasoning to figure it out.

Dell will not buy HP or HPE. Ridiculous idea.

Which HP you are talking about? $HPQ makes printers, $HPE makes servers,

I know Dell doesn’t make printers. HP does. If/when Dell buys HP it will want to sell the printers off and Xerox tried to buy HP for its printers in 2020. Doubt they (Xerox) wanted the PC biz.

Dell Printers No Longer Available. (Updated: 02/5/2019) Dell scaled back its imaging business in 2016 and printers was one of the departments cut.

After election, if Trump, expect HP acquisition with a spin of ISG to Broadcom and printers to Xerox.

Thoma Bravo is licking its chops to buy Dell. Plans for 15% layoffs after the acquisition.

I could see a group of out of touch brain dead VC hedge fund types buying into the AI frenzy. By pure luck there are a few billionaires who cashed out early before the dotcom and housing market crash. A few will cash out early this time. But more than that number will buy up and cash out too late. FOMO isn't just for the low level tech bro investors (crypto, metaverse, web 3). Buyer beware.

MD offloading the business would explain the questionable knee-jerk decisions applied by ELT in the last year.

I stopped being surprised by Dell years ago if I am honest.
