Find it hypocritical that Enbridge is advertising on social media, that they are attending trade shows and hosting a “Jill of all trades” event to get more girls into the trades but they’re not doing anything in-person for Take Your Kid to Work day. The reason? November 6 falls on a Wednesday, a work from home day, and due to previous feedback and Next 75. So what are they offering?… let your kids watch a bunch of videos and answer a trivia quiz… I remember seeing all the kids coming into VPC/TOC, attending presentations and kids got the opportunity to try some tools hands on, like do a plastic fusion then go hangout with the parent in the afternoon. This is really disappointing as a parent of a high schooler who is interested in the trades. Shame on you GDS!

It was awkward this year. I never opened the activity sheet beforehand. On Nov 6th I came with my daughter to the office and I thought I'll do the activities with her. We finished the sheet very fast. She was bored the remainder of the day.
I tried to make it fun for her. I showed her around the office and we finished a jigsaw puzzle on one of the floors.
"Let your kids know that Enbridge hates children and then direct them to anti fossil fuels websites."
I dunno... maybe you then might have to explain to your child why you continue to support - and profit from - the industry you're vilifying?

How about TYKWYGLO?

When you get big, try and find a company with a heart to work for."

Some departments are organizing in-office events. Inquire instead of complaining.
Why would you want your child to come to work. It’s a nightmare and they don’t need to witness this horrible work place.
Oh I don’t know. Maybe if your kids got introduced to half of the id--ts that “run” this company they’ll have an easier time recognizing what a bad management team looks like in the future. Maybe that will save them from the torture we’ve all endured here at the big E. And when I say bad management team, I mean front line supervision all the way to the CEO.
This may be a good thing as Safety is not a priority for Enbridge anymore! It’s safer not to bring our children to work and is a good lesson for our children of what a horrible company that Enbridge is so they won’t make a mistake working for Enbridge. The grass in this case is a lot green everywhere else but here!
