Looks like Ryan is Charlie Scharf 2.0.

Wonder if he too is buying new corporate toys like airplanes, helicopters, or boats.

The layoff season is now, companies need 6-10w minimum before the end of the year for layoffs so that you, your Severance, and Expenses to the company are gone before the end of the year. They need to get the Tax kickback and your operating expenses gone for the new year.

In the U.S., if this continues, it will likely end next week. Comp conversations begin on November 1st. and, historically, bonsues & retroactive increase pay (from 10/1) are paid on 11/15th.

There might be a few let go between 11/1-11/8. But, most on the list will know by end of October.

Visa doesn't do layoffs during the holiday season. If this continues into 2025, we won't know who is impacted until March.
