To current employees (I'm long gone), don't go too hard on KR. He's not the reason for Nielsen's downfall. He's just that character in a long standing TV show that let's say aired 10+ seasons and jumped the shark in like season 7 and now has all these loser characters left on the show! Lol. Make no mistake, the downfall started and was initiated by Dave Calhoun and nobody else. Now that guy is looking at possible jail time for his misdeeds at Boeing.

I still not sure why clients haven't reacted yet to the sh---y data, they are still paying crazy amounts like is 1980, the world have changed and today Nielsen should be relegated to extinction since it wasn't able to react and evolve.
With that said, it has nothing to do with Karthik, he is just the puppet they put there knowing he is easy to control and sufficiently stupid to not take any initiative on his own, I think David Kenny is the one to blame, he came to Nielsen as the savior and he ended up handing up the company to a private equity knowing fully well what that would entail. I found him disgusting since the day I met him in the (extinct) GTIC at Oldsmar.

I was cut months ago… what happened with CBS?
I mean, a data first company that's outsourcing all the data shouldn't be allowed to operate on the US, period. I know, for certain, what kind of data they are collecting and how wrong that is, to the point that I constantly recommend my friends not to become "a Nielsen home".
Everybody should drop Nielsen, it's not serious anymore, it's not transparent and for sure the data they massage to oblivion is the worst!
