Listen to this. Manual switches go out in our yard and it takes anywhere from two months to two years to get them replaced. These switches are key to things flowing properly in our yard, and this multi BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY says that they can't afford to fix them. We need Bevis and Bu-----d to apply to run this ex healthy and somewhat happy company!

That about sums them up! They walk around patting themselves on the back for accomplishing nothing. They're just Omaha a$$ puppets that are proud of their titles. Yes, many of them can't even do the work they're in charge of. Some managers can actually do the work, but those managers are extremely rare at the UP.

They come here to see what if fear works, and it doesn't. Literally let's play high school, come here and post lies, then tell the other managers what we are saying. Then they get on their conference calls with Omaha, like they found out some new stuff and news. Look Boss, look what I found out. This is common sense, do they really think they are going to keep managers around cut crews to the max, and trains just run themselves. These dum--ss people made up all this dum--ss rules and now they want us to break a rule that they created, these illiterate people made these rules sitting at home playing dress up with their daughters. PERIOD. They can't even think of any new ways to streamline money except cut jobs. The customers are filing lawsuit's because they can't even deliver the product on time. They won the UPS contract and guess what UPS is willing to pay the penalty fee to back out. WHY? The BNSF has been delivering those products on time every time, they just increased the fee and d-mb UP says we can do it for cheaper and faster and UPS sat down and said what the he-l no way. We will pay the fine to let the BNSF keep it. Meanwhile the BNSF is at it again snatching up all the industries, the locals, while UP is steady playing d-mb bucky and the d-mb manager game. I wonder when they will post the Hedge Fund company that yanked nearly 600 million in funds out of the UP stock. They can't even afford new locomotives, their all old, dated, cr-ppy junk, can't even make track speed. How do you have over a trillion dollars in land, cash, and assets and you can't even afford new switch engines, new ties, new ballast It's so bad the dispatchers are even confused. What they need to do is post what happens when the attend the FRA hearing post that conversation. When you see the manager's just look at how awful they look, they look confused beyond measure. They fly up to Omaha, get excited and come back lost and confused. It takes 36 hours to run a train 296 miles. News flash, we are not the dispatching center, you guys call the shot's and this is an example of your leadership, well it's not leadership because my high school kids can run a yard better than this. Let's take some questions and ost some.

  1. Managers why did you even apply if you cannot even manage your garage and backyard, you can't even keep a 660-credit score, but you can manage a 10mm terminal.
  2. How often do you tell yourself this makes no sense of why you even have a job and what is the purpose of your job, because we don't even see the purpose of what you do except say OMAHA all day.
  3. How does it feel knowing that the test you give and or the attendance policy you have, and the fact that you refuse to honor FMLA ends up in lawsuits that UP never wins, like literally NEVER.
  4. Why do you think your job if that's what you call it is significant, when you can't sign a card, run a train, spot an industrial plant, perform an air test, change a bulb, you can't fix anything on a train, engine, rail, tie, yard, ballast so what is even the point of you even being here, you can't even do the work. STOP, you managers cannot even do the work, so why are you hear telling us what to do when you can't even read a rule and know even how to apply the rule, you guys cannot even apply the rules correctly so what are you even here for.
  5. When you went to Omaha and got your kool-aid, you actually saw yourself being promoted, you actually saw yourself making a difference, you actually thought you was that guy that would make it happen and low and behold the only thing you made happen was getting a divorce, losing your house, your credit, your kids on dr-gs, and you sitting in your little car getting drunk on the job, let's start there these managers at night or nearly always either drunk or high, then you have the nerve to tell crews you did co----e back in the day.

As the gentleman said earlier ask your questions, we may not have teeth, we may be from all races, we may even have 1 ear, we might even wear shoes from 1873, we might smell like horse manure, some of us may even live like trash, but make no mistake you guys will never outthink us, you will never outwork us, and you will never in your life outshine us. You can buy the union leaders trucks, pay their kids college and private school, you may even think you can read and write but by far you are the problem.

Now, let's see if you can pass a test.

  1. The DOO DOO train has 9 loads of acid 3 empty acid tankers and 5 loaded box cars and 9 auto racks with 1 engine that is missing an outside bulb, since it's missing an outside bulb should this train run

a. Morning from 6am to 6pm only
b. Evening from 6pm to 6am only
c. Let the local run it when they finish switching out the plant
d. Let it sit in the yard and let the next manager figure it out
e. Not run at all

  1. The crew comes is from deadheading, they have been on duty 9 hours, you have a key train on the main line dead on hours of service what should you do?

a. Put the crew on the train and move it 30 miles down the main into a siding
b. Have the local go get on the train before they start switching
c. You and the new hire conductor take his remote engine out there and bring it back
d. All crews are not rested so wait 9 hours till a crew is rested and have them take the train
e. Call Omaha and let them know you need to do 9 tests before the end of the day

  1. A customer notifies you that the plant was not spotted last night, and he has no work for his workers, the reason was no crews were rested, and you needed to pull a crew out of service for improper air test because the previous manager was rushing the crew, the plant is now closed and will not open for 2 days, and if the plant is not spotted all the bananas will rot what do you do?

a. Have the crew spot the plant and it's not your fault the bananas spoil after all you had to pull a crew out of service that makes you look cool.
b. Bring the cars back and have the local spot it in 2 days, they day the cars should be pulled
c. The yard is congested so you re-hump the cars and the customer will get them when they get them
d. Have the remote job stop working and instruct them to take their remote engines down there and spot the plant.
e. Call Omaha on Monday and wait for a better decision

  1. The engineer needs a stop test, and you notice he is now on duty, he has a 2.5 mile train with 5 engines and 1 is DPU, he is carrying 118 loads and 38 empties, if you hurry you can do your test as soon as he approaches the hill in which he will have 3 crossings blocked, after the stop test he can no longer climb the hill and pulls a knuckle what should you do? In your own words explain what you the manager would do?

These are just common-sense questions for the common sense managers
