Found out today that a real superstar leader is leaving 3M. I know we've had a flurry of executives leave, but this one is really concerning. This was a super high potential leader, who was being promoted up fast, leading the PFAS transition for 3M and given the visibility and impact of the role, probably would've been one of the youngest VPs 3M has ever had - and she still left despite all that championship!
I find it very concerning that the succession plan that was actually capable of doing the work needed to turn this ship around is leaving while we hire more SVPs who don't know the company...This announcement is depressing, particularly because she was an excellent people leader - resourceful, intelligent, caring...we have so few with that combination left...Big loss for us....
