Citi might eliminate C14 SVP layers completely and make it more of VP layer as other banks. C14 might be required to code in tech or do similar work as other vp. Many changes to happen soon.
The evaluation for duplicate projects are also pending.

Citi cannot leverage AI to be successful using that new paradigm of efficiency because Citi’s data are unorganized at best in silo’ed legacy data and at worst in Excel and Sharepoint. AI is all about data. Foundation models (which can be purchased, Gemini, OpenAI, etc) are only the starting point, they must be properly trained, but using what data? The AI bots so far are a joke. Stylus is a joke.
These C16-C15 m0r0ns have no clue. Their specialty is to bark orders to try to get things done. They have no concept of the actual execution of the work. Multiple reorganization efforts have proven upper management’s inability to provide proper course of action to get Citi in the right direction. It’s a lost cause by now, too much chaos driven by insane Jane. She ultimately carries the blame for the state in which Citi is at today. She will get her millions and that’s all she’s after.
C15, in my org, is where management of ICs starts (post reorg). I've found C16 (managers of the first manger layer) has little experience with the domain the C15s and lower are even working within. It will be interesting.
