I truly believe in this statement
If a buyout of Walgreens goes through, watch for many more store closings and mass layoffs. A sharp buyer is likely to break up the company and unload some of the assets.

The easy path for Walgreens leadership is to sell to PE. Why can't the Walgreens management do the work PE will do? Why didn't they sell off Boots and generate cash? Why are execs who are drawing double digit millions taking the easy path to destroy Walgreens brand???
