Thread regarding Hy-Vee layoffs

Stores doing good?

Anybody hearing how we're doing? Our store is just OK. A lot of theft I think from customers. I hope we don't cut labor hours after the first of the year like they want. Or close more stores

Maybe CORPORATE should let the stores decide how to sell as they at store level knows what the customer wants instead of corporate office people who sit in their offices and don't know what the everyday customer wants.Things change over the years since many corporate people have been in stores.

I used to buy three fruit pizzas a day at my Davenport store on 53 road street for my business.I now buy zero as they quit putting whip topping on them.I asked about it and was told corporate supervisor said not to anymore. I said that's to bad as I won't be spending my money at hyvee any longer.

I don’t know how we’re going to make money if we keep comparing to Walmart. Plus all the supplies & labor hanging arrows & signs showing we’re “lowering prices “

I was at one of the stores that closed earlier this year and yes theft was a huge issue so yes it is concerning if your store has a lot of theft too. The store I'm at now we bonused last quarter but I have no idea how this quarter will be. All I can say is just hope and pray that you never have to go through a store closing because it su-ks major rocks.
