Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

My team is barely functioning

Any chance they’ll ever look into teams missing important roles? I would work more now if I knew it would pay off in the future. Since I know it won’t, I have no reason to pull for all those who are no longer here.

I've noticed, this week alone, three people from different organisations working while on vacation. Why? Because their senior leaders expect something ASAP and guess what? There's no one else to do it because they've WFR'd so many people in their org there's no coverage for when people take time off.

Do less with less my ar-e.

Michael Dell, the billionaire CEO Dell Technologies, has a message for today's workforce: work smarter, not harder, and don't forget to laugh.

In an episode of the "In Good Company", Dell shared insights into his management philosophy and personal approach to work, emphasizing the importance of balancing professional dedication with personal well-being. "I learned a long time ago that there's a diminishing return to the number of hours worked in any given day," Dell stated, challenging the hustle culture prevalent in many tech companies.

The 59-year-old tech mogul, whose company generated $88 billion in revenue last year, practices what he preaches. He maintains a strict sleep schedule, going to bed around 8:30 or 9 p.m. and rising before dawn to exercise. "You won't find me at the nightcap," he quipped. "I'll be asleep."

They still get all the overlays and help. The rest of us get nada on purpose. Just stop caring till they dump you. It's easier on your mental health too top caring.

Dell decided it can do less with less, so let Dell (and its customers) see the impact of doing less with less.
