Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

I'm starting to think Kelly Ortberg can pull things off and turn Boeing around.

But it's going to take time. The most important thing right now Ortberg needs to do without delay is firing bad Boeing managers. Boeing needs to also get out of the Social Engineering business. DEI, Woke and whatever else it's called.

I'm putting him on PIP. He is going to be another great starter on the line but will fail to place in this race.

Getting rid of departments that don’t add any value like DEI, and getting rid of unnecessary layers of Management was a move in their right direction. However, these cuts have not went far enough, especially in Management . They could literally get rid of two more layers of management and would not affect anything but the bottom line.

Problem with Kelly Ortberg is he’s a manager from the 80s and 90s. Has that same mindset. He’s gonna be trying to outsource as many jobs as he can to someplace cheaper overseas like India. Which is part of the reason company doesn’t have the expertise anymore to design airplane.

Buying new for 20 years that they had an aging workforce that would be retiring with people that needed to replace an expertise they needed to replace and instead of trying to hire a bunch of new employees and let them build their expertise. They decided to outsource as much engineering as possible to Russia and Ukraine. That’s the kind a mistake that would drive a business in a bankruptcy. All your expertise went out the door when they shut the design centers down and you’ve laid off all your 30 or 40 year employees or they retired during Covid.

I hope things get better, they need to, but it’s gonna take more than a new CEO to get us there. We all have to participate and work towards something better.

The other option is to just keep beaching about it 🤣

What Are Emotions?

Emotions are deeply personal and subjective experiences
encompassing feelings like happiness, sadness, anger, and fear.
They are shaped by our "perceptions", beliefs, past experiences,
and cultural backgrounds, making each person's emotional
experience unique.
Emotions influence our responses to various situations and how we
engage in social interactions.
They offer valuable insights about ourselves and our surroundings
but can also be irrational and easily swayed.

What Are Facts?

Facts stand in contrast to emotions;
they are objective and verifiable pieces of information that exist independently
of our personal feelings or opinions.
Facts are consistent and universal truths that apply to everyone,
irrespective of individual "perspectives".
They are typically grounded in evidence, data, or direct observation
and embody rationality and logic.
Facts form the bedrock for making informed decisions, solving problems,
and objectively understanding the world around us.

What can you prove ? Where is the data to backup your statement ?

Nothing has changed. If anything has happened, it's gotten worse. Pay no attention to the stock price.

We are still all about finance and schedule. The people promoted to the e-levels are just better at hiding it.

The words are exactly what you want to hear and the simple minded fall for it. But the actions are still the same.

But those of us behind the scenes that have sat in meetings with directors and VPs can see the single focus on money.

Get out while you can

Corporate Kool-Aid

https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=corporate%20kool%20aid

The PR and Marketing specifically geared towards imprinting the corporate culture and brand as a positive mindset and way of life, targeted to "inside audiences", a.k.a. the employees, of a corporation, most especially, to new hires to help them assimilate into their new environment". In the most successful cases, this is done in such a way that the individual who has "drunk the corporate kool aid" will, outside of work and uncompensated, be a willing and engaged corporate spokesperson, advocating and promoting the corporation's stated
views and agenda as True Believer.

See also Microsift, Target, and Jim Jones.

I am thrilled and lucky to be here! I fully admit, I have drunk the corporate kool aid and now I am one of the best and the brightest, inventing the future! What do you mean my 75 hours of work each week are distroying my marriage and family?!!!
This is IMPORTANT WORK!!
