Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

I got the heads up…

Expect my team to be back 5 days per week next year. Remotes will need to relocate or take a package

@4wha+1vYhse2X Are you in sales? That's the only org that has really mandated 5 days in office. CIO/President of Services on his all hands last week said hybrid for is org is 3 days a week and didn't hint at that changing (if anything he emphasized the importance of a flexible schedule).

I really think this is going to come down to org by org (vs. company wide). What works for sales doesn't necessarily work for ISG, services, etc.

My director said very clearly if you are hybrid you need to be in the office 5 days a week come January - technically you already should be. As for remote workers too far from office - it seems nothing has been decided and we are all still waiting.

Director lvl have zero clarity on RTO - it looks a lot like it's because they haven't fully decided what will happen but who knows.

Hog wash... complete hog wash. No plans to change current RTO policy through the end of the year 😉

I'm starting to think this could be click bait by the site as they know so many people keep coming back to these posts as they're so desperate to get clarity.

This all makes sense. It’s the next stage of downsizing

overheard management last week talking about "getting our monkeys back into their cages" from Jan 1st, they were discussing desks rearrangement too.

I believe this is coming. Last week told that employees at "non-standard offices" could not be backfilled where they are, need to be directed toward a standard office, or be managed out.

how would you get a package unless you were laid off. If you don't go in, you will be on pip and ineligible for package.

I hope this is true and announced soon for the sales orgs. A new job at a new place plus a package to double dip would be very welcomed.

We all know this is coming in one form or another. I wish we’d get some damn specifics - what org? When is this happening? Is the package a voluntary signup?
