Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Another market sent to the graveyard

The Temple/Austin market of Landmark was told today that the market will be closing on 1/31 as it was not profitable. They lost a contract that will end on 12/31 but were slowly admitting M&R patients. So I guess the M&R patients could not sustain the market.

@hgx+1vYhahE6 - It's just HBMC, Texas doesn't have FPM.

Crazy they don't inform others working in shared services who support markets. We have been trying to track down what markets are actually open and no one will tell us. Are they laying everyone off in these markets?

Hmm that’s interesting that they are closing a market with FPM. I thought that’s where they made money?

Are any other markets in the Midwest closing, like Illinois or Wisconsin ?

Forgot to mention that SCC in Iowa is also closing. There aren’t really many open positions in that state for NP’s, RN’s, or other ancillary staff to move to.

Maryland and Iowa are closing. Not just Landmark, but the FPM programs are closing as well.

Sorry to hear that. I know of two markets that are closing on 12/31. It seems like they aren’t announcing these closures like they did before.
