Wondering how many people’s positions were eliminated today in December of 2024 by AB in the US sales and commercial organizations.
Funny how on our teams it is ALWYAS the oldest person on the team whose position is eliminated. It’s the absolutely impossible to prove age discrimination. Two years ago, the oldest one on my team, then last year the next oldest one, now me (the oldest one) The pattern is so obvious it’s gross and this company kinda su-ks for that.
Some comfort to think age isn’t the primary factor. I guess I felt targeted based on the previous pattern of layoffs on my particular team. Indeed the timing couldn’t be worse. Amazing a company can’t hold on these kinds of re-orgs until after the December holiday season. Can’t really start much of a job search until the new year. Good luck to you!
I got laid off yesterday as well… I am only 31 years old so I don’t think age played a factor in it this time. Horrible for companies to drop news like this around the holidays.
