Thread regarding Cargill layoffs

For those considering working for Cargill..... Do not apply

Hi-any smart person will look to this board or other sites that capture company sentiments, you will obviously see a lot of hurt and sad and angry employees and former employees of Cargill. You shouldn't chalk it all up to sour grapes but make sure you read between the lines about how poor leadership is, how leadership is blaming poor business environment (which probably won't turn around anytime soon) but not looking at the fact that they are terrible money managers, they don't really value their employees, they are deaf and they aren't really going about fixing things in the right way. If you work for them, you will be under water, not supported (DEI or otherwise) and won't be able to find anyone that knows the history of why things are the way they are but they won't give you any budget to make improvements and they certainly will not support starting anything fresh. Not to mention really an unhappy work place environment. The only comfort I get is that I will find another job and actually end up in a better job/place so save yourself the step and just look somewhere else.

Agree. I’m not saying they can’t do layoffs but going back on strategic and resources decision made very recent just shows they are clueless and keep changing their gears as no idea what to do. I did not fill in the survey as I had nothing positive to say about the leadership senior director and above so. The results were amazing hahahab

Those who are saying that layoffs are normal, I agree. But Leadership do not have any clue about the future - is the biggest reason why people should rethink about building there career with Cargill.

Agree. Stay away from this dumpster fire. The leadership is the problem now and will continue until the Cargill family realizes what is going on. However if you are a third party consultant agency (Accenture, PWC, TCS, etc) you can get rich off this company.

Get a grip. This company has probably had the least amount of layoffs of any similar sized corporation. There is nothing unique about it.
