Was told there was a strict bell curve this year. First review cycle and received a 2/2 rating this year. Manager said he had to fight for this rating..is this considered good? I’m personally disappointed as I’ve historically received the highest possible ratings at previous banks. Appreciate the insight.

@hko+1vX3mS04 Sorry to break it to you Mr know it all, you are wrong here. If you joined the TH last week head of HR confirmed the meeting with the board was approval was the day before. MDs have all been given the pot for their group so do keep up…
BS. Comp has not been published. The Board has to approve it and that hasn't happened yet.
Comp have been published as well soon. C14 already have the preview for it, this year comp is based on AI script.
Yes, 2/2 is good for Citi. Go in global and go up to your MD level. Whatever your band is around 5% will be at a 1 level. If you're new to Citi 2/2 is quite good. A lot of managers default to 3/3 for the 1st year regardless of what you've achieved.
YE discussion may have been started but ratings and comp have not been finalized, and they are linked. While the ratings may be solid, they are still subject to change. If you manager shared the rating there is a chance it could change.
YE discussions have started and were ok to be shared starting 12/9. Multiple people on my team have already received them including myself. Mgrs have til mid January to share results.
@oce+1vX3mS04 Yes it has started, conversations with managers began on 9th Dec with many already having their review. Are you not reading any emails? We get overloaded with emails on these dates from HR.
Year end review not started. How can you know your rating?
