Thread regarding Cargill layoffs

Will reorg address the problem of significantly reduced teams?

We lost a lot of people. My team lost a couple of very experienced and knowledgeable veterans. They will be hard to replace, if they are even planning on replacing people. If things stay the way they are now, my team will not be able to be as productive and efficient as before. Even if they push us to work more and harder. We have links missing now.

Wow, people looking for work outside of Cargill. I guess the threatening language from leadership didn't work. Shocking!

The line my leaders keep repeating is that we need to find "new ways of working" while also giving no suggestions to what that means in practice. We have a platoon of middle/senior managers who chase vanity metrics and have no creativity or humanity.

My team is going thru the same. We got told leadership will be hiring more staff in India to replace those let go here in the states. So for now we get extra work, get to train india when they hire, then I'm sure we'll get the ax at a undermined date. At least half of my team is looking to exit cargill. I don't get how they think we're this stupid to see the future. Good thing is though, we are acting as a team hunting for jobs and helping one another on this front. Trauma has bonded those that remain.
