Ny post and he is being roasted for his comments related to preventing unnecessary care and to ignore media negativity. The public perception of uhg is likely going to nosedive even further. Once this goes to trial even more bad publicity coming.

Jealousy over another persons salary is ridiculous go out and get a better education and some motivation, maybe someday you will get above a level 24 pay grade.
This is by far the worst take I've seen yet... It isn't about Witty's wealth so much as it is about getting rich by way of denying needed care to the sick and dying.
BTW, I was a grade 29 contractor a few years ago and was going to be hired on as full-time as either a grade 29 or perhaps a 30. I quit after a year because of all the toxicity and lack of ethics of this company. The backstabbing, two-faced behavior, inner-circle cliques, political games, and overall lying, especially among managers, told me I shouldn't be here. I now make substantially more at a different company. I regularly use Optum as an example of how tight control over perception of reality and a good lobbying presence is how companies like this survive.
Seriously? You post that the corruption is real and you are not helping people? You should not be working in this industry. Do everyone a favor and leave. Jealousy over another persons salary is ridiculous go out and get a better education and some motivation, maybe someday you will get above a level 24 pay grade.
Phsycos [sic] don't deserve to be praised or thought of admirably.
Really? What's your take on Witty, then?
Bottom line is corporations have been like this for decades. If you can't handle it, don't work for one.
This black-and-white, tone-deaf response is exactly the problem.

Regardless of what you think of BT, his ki-ler was nothing but a degenerate, psychopathic ki-ler. Phsycos don't deserve to be praised or thought of admirably. Does UHG has issues...obviously. Did BT deserve to die...of course not. The ki-ler is not a modern day Robin Hood (as someone wrote on this page) . Robin Hood was made up....this is the real world.
The truly despicable and tragic mu---r of BT does compel taking some time for deep and honest reflection.
Bullsh!t. This company and the rest of corporate America are going to focus solely on over-humanizing BT and completely ignore why Luigi did what he did. There will be no "deep and honest reflection" by anyone above a certain pay grade. Was k!lling BT wrong? Absolutely. Will it change anything? Doubtful. If the rich and republicans have their way, it won't do a thing. They want to get back to the business of sc--wing people out of care and abusing employees for fun and profit.
Again, new health insurance choices should exist and RFK jr and the Trump administration can do a lot to make American health care great again
If you think the people that you voted for are going to do anything to help the American public, you're living in a Faux News induced MAGA hallucination. The only thing the insane clown posse is going to do is take more power and money away from the general public and put it in the hands of the 1%.
Let’s all introspect about what we do, who we hurt when we deny essential care, and the ethics of it all. As a society we should not be at this point of rage and we must not miss an opportunity for reflection and improvement.
When Witty has an actual townhall or fireside chat explicitly addressing this very point, I'll start to listen. Until then, as far as I'm concerned, he needs to be next on the list for the another disgruntled person ready to take matters into their own hands. Healthcare in prison is better than what this company offers.
More layoffs are inevitable despite how wonderful our team mates are and we are all very lucky to still have jobs (for now) with this org. The leadership is great, and they are brilliant at what they do (make $) and are to be applauded for their successes.

Conclusion:
Let’s be real: It is now time for a public option, run like a mutual insurance company. No profit su-k to shareholders, no executive salaries greater than $250,000 for the CEO pegged to inflation using social security increases as an index, and, most importantly, personal choice, freedom, and liberty for Americans. All patients can choose whatever plan - all with identical essential health benefits- they want. If they like to sing the national anthem they can keep anthem. If they like to feel united they can keep united. If they like the sound of the word Centene or are into double vowels they can keep their Centene or their Aetna, or they can sign up for the public option - funded by the patients as a mutual, like Vanguard, and, because the public option would be a third less expensive (no shareholder or high paid executive su-k) they would have the personal freedom and choice for that plan. Heck, call it NirvanaCare and maybe everyone into grunge rock would sign up. All in for choice and this model exists in many other first world capitalist countries like Israel, Switzerland, New Zealand, to make a few. Su-k reduction = Health GDP would decrease from 18 percent in the USA to 12-14 percent . Not too shabby (thanks KFF and others.)
What’s that? Insurance companies that patients choose from each year but they are non profits, structured as a mutual insurance company. Instead of su-king away profits to shareholders and (obscenely) highly paid executives, they actually return all of the unspent premiums back to the patients year end. They charge transparent fees to pay for care. And no prior authorizations or bankruptcy with the number one cause being medical debt, even in those with commercial insurance. Their system costs much less and delivers superior clinical outcomes in life span, health span, infant and maternal mortality, and patient ratings.
We beseech RFK jr and the incoming administration to investigate these for profits practices and identify their true net/net earnings and transparently make available just how much su-k these companies are doing, using dashboard reports run daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly and available for all to see. An independent auditor (or two or six) would help prevent deceit, which is what this industry is all about. Yes, our work would change as the model changes but administrative tasks would still remain and for those of us left we would just process claims, paid for the work we do processing claims but for a flat fee that is always transparent, us ‘Mericans get to choose the plan every year (no different than open enrollment, right?) and the fees would be disclosed. Obviously, lower fees would mean less cost but whatever excess occurs that year is returned right back to the patients year end. Promoted at a 6 th grade level, I think it’s safe to guess what most of us good old fashioned, traditional folks would pick: the plan with the same benefits at the lowest cost. With a reinsurance component this is a doable achievable and the private sector o
Is already “on it” (making for profit insurance companies irrelevant, like a full service high fee stock broker or horse and buggy. Think Mark Cuban making all those PBM rebates disappear and the cost of dr-gs for people like us become more affordable.
Again, new health insurance choices should exist and RFK jr and the Trump administration can do a lot to make American health care great again by making choice available to consumers. Nice to see Taro health amongst other start ups.
Maybe (probably) there would be more layoffs but hopefully there would be fewer deaths, both for patients and for executives, which is truly so sad as we now live in a scary time with g-ns that a computer can print. Let’s all introspect about what we do, who we hurt when we deny essential care, and the ethics of it all. As a society we should not be at this point of rage and we must not miss an opportunity for reflection and improvement.
They will fill Brian Thompson's vacancy with another MOPtum muppet. As the old saying goes, "the show must go on" or "next man up"!
As it should, the perception of UHG, that is. It should have never been held with esteem. The c suite is soulless, corrupt, full of greed. They literally have blood on their hands. All for money. Money in excess that they don’t need. Money that they make off the back of their employees who are also some of the claims constantly denied. Then they wonder why there is no loyalty.
