VP confirmed in meeting we are ALL expected back for 5 days

Depends on the Business Unit... Our VP told us they have zero intention of a 5 day week at any point in the future
VP telling you RTO doesn't mean anything. The only source of truf is the very high contact.
Remote changes are coming to only those countries that don't have laws protecting their worker rights.
Most European countries will continue to work remote with no change, Dell can't overrule the law. All that no pay increases, no promotion bully tactics that was announced back in Q1 all had to be rewritten for EMEA.
North America, Dell can do what they want.
Maybe each vp means their own group when they say this policy applies to everyone. They mean, everyone I am talking to right now. Not everyone in the whole company. Seems different for different orgs.
Ok. Here’s the skinny.
This forum su-ks. I realize I come to find some rumors that may be true, and it’s impossible because everyone is doing something different. So, I am just going to NOT come here anymore - and do what I need to on a daily basis until I’m told directly I am effected.
And if I am, well I will have to do what’s best for me.
Peace out.
Happy ….
Merry Christmas!
It's an issue of trust, or lack thereof - our ELT renegged on their own words and promises so much, no one believes what they say anymore. And this results in gossip and hearsay to help folks deal with everyday uncertainty.
There isn't a simple directive though is there for remote workers. It's been left totally unclear. Last official 'directive' was 'further Comms pertaining to remote workers to follow in the coming weeks'. Nothing since aside from rumours and line managers lacking any information.
How can there be this much confusion about a simple directive?
good. the entitlement to work from home is beyond absurd. wake up, go tf to the office.
In sales, we are being told to update our status in workday from remote to hybrid if you live within the 50 mile radius.
Bullcr-p - our SVP confirmed no changes to the current 3-day hybrid setup in the forseeable future.
I feel like there are mixed messages. Yesterday in an all hands with DS, he said hybrid is 3 days and alluded to that not changing. So if other orgs are hearing 5 days is coming, maybe this isn't a company wide change, and really being determined at the individual org level?
One thing DS didn't mention was remote workers. He only mentioned there being field and hybrid. Perhaps reading between the lines, I do wonder if by not mentioning remote, changes may be coming for those workers...
Soft roll out. It is true
Some groups are told 5days and more to follow as capacity planning checks out.
Not enough office space, more noise from the peanut gallery (smh)
What orgs are you in saying 5 days?
My manager & director said 5 days also - did not insinuate but told us flat out. If some people are being told 3 and some told 5 what's the deal?? Is it depending on what organization you are in or what?
more rubbish.
Stfu OP
Weird, SVP and JC told us in two separate meetings yesterday that it's still 3 days.
